The only time frogs actually are aquatic is when they are breeding, the rest of the time they are in damp undergrowth. They can mistake large fish for females and whilst attempting to have sex damage the fishes slime coat leaving them open to disease, but frogs are beneficial to the ponds ecosystem, providing tadpoles for your fish to eat. The fish do very well without eating tadpoles, it's the holes in their sides from frogs claws that is not good for them
