Delighted to see Ellie Symonds win gold again, that smile lights up the world If anyone deserves to be made a Dame, she does rather than some theatrical luvvie. Someone smaller than herself for the Queen to dub

Depending on the sport and the disability level within the race, the time clock can run slightly slower which even it out. This certainly happens in cycling and swimming too I think. That's why there is a very slight delay at times for the end timing to show.
The race I find incredible is the running blindfolded with a partner, the trust you need to have in them is immense.

I am still baffled by the lack of apparent disabilities of some of these athletes. Some are very clear yet some look as if they should be competing in the other Olympic games One athlete is described as having a not properly functioning hand, I am reminded of the claimant trying to claim disability benefits because he had lost the tip of one finger

Lovely news about Jason Kenny and Laura Trott getting married in private yesterday, after turning down an offer to have the wedding featured in a magazine. Good for them...I hope they have many happy years together.
