Charles Alfred Cruft (28 June 1852 – 10 September 1938) was a British showman who founded the Crufts dog show. Charles first became involved with dogs when he began to work at Spratt's, a manufacturer of dog biscuits. He rose to the position of General Manager, and whilst working for Spratt's in France he was invited to run his first dog show at the 1878 Exposition Universelle.

I remember those Spratt's dog biscuits, many different colours There were always some that dogs just would not eat

Derek William Bentley (30 June 1933 – 28 January 1953) was an English man who was hanged for the murder of a policeman, which was committed in the course of a burglary attempt. The murder was said at the time to have been committed by a friend and accomplice of Bentley's, Christopher Craig, then aged 16, but whether he had fired the fatal shot was later called into question. Bentley was convicted as a party to murder, by the English law principle of common purpose, "joint enterprise".

That all hinged on the "Let him have it" shout, argued that he meant give up the gun and countered with he meant "shot him" Wasn't the conviction posthumously quashed? (Bit late)

I'll trade your Jean Kent for a Margaret Lockwood Was once on a jury where the prosecuting barrister was a woman who looked just like her, complete with very high heels and seemed stockings. Very distracting

Don Estelle, here with Windsor Davies, "Whispering Grass"
There was an edition of Through the Keyhole (with Lloyd Grossman when it was a proper programme before the lemon idiot ruined it) where the video revealed a very basically furnished high rise council flat somewhere up North. The panel thought it was a wind up, and made very derogatory comments It was Don at the reveal, who said that they were paid very little for it Aint Half Hot Mum, and a few shillings for Whispering Grass then nothing since. The panel were suitably embarrassed
