Sergeant Josef František DFM * (7 October 1914, Otaslavice - 8 October 1940) was a Czech fighter pilot and World War II flying ace who flew for the air forces of Czechoslovakia, Poland and the United Kingdom. He is famous as being one of the highest scoring Allied aces in the Battle of Britain. I was brought up in a village where the gossip grapevine was very active and knowledgeable. A couple of Polish fighters had settled in the village as they couldn't go home, plenty who fought with the allies were called Displaced Persons or DPs for short The story was that these fighters were passionate lovers, much appreciated by women whose usual role then was to lie back and think of England

I suppose it was a question of the penis being mightier than the sword

A female ferret will die, if it goes into heat and cannot find a mate.

The word “Britain” is derived from the name of a Celtic tribe, the Brythons.
