Is it me, or don't pork pies have as much flavour as they used to have?

I think you have to be selective.
Any of you girls (or boys) make pork pies...................?

Our pies are 5" diameter and about an inch and a half deep
Home made all butter shortcrust pastry on both top and bottom
Wild garlic and blue cheese souffle tarts are popular
As are our cottage pies
Pastry shell blind baked and filled with a rich mince onion and carrot filling topped with creamy mash and then browned in the oven

All that is not per-pork is per-per-pie, and all that is not per-pie is per-pork!

Thimples.
I order my food from Waitrose and they deliver it to a depot at a prescribed time. They then send a freezer van the same morning to the Perigord. I pick it up the following day.
Delivery charge is 10p in the £

Where i am just now is a village that is about a mile long and Tesco's deliver to the other end and not my end! Apparently I'm not in range.

I choose a delivery time that is a pound cheaper than earlier ones - and then the driver calls me an hour or two before my chosen time and asks if he can come earlier, and of course I say 'yes'!
