Lovely to see them again, showing my age eh? At least those ads showed you the product they were advertising as opposed to today when you have to guess what is being advertised How we have progressed, not!

Funny you say that, we were watching an advert last night and we both presumed it was for dog food. At the very end it was for hotel rooms.

I have the idea though that having a pacer was considered to be, if not cheating exactly, then not quite not cheating: not really playing the game.

At the market this morning we came across a flash record player with a Garard auto change. This reminded me of the 50s cheapo Dansette, so tinny, and the progression to one with a Garard system and ultimately one with a Phillips system where the featherweight stylus did not wear the records our

Think back, Pacers (not pacemakers) was a tube of spearmint chews.

Think back, Pacers (not pacemakers) was a tube of spearmint chews. I only remember Juicy Fruit, was that the 50s?
