Thanks - I did not know about that one. Now if they'd only do a Jess Franco channel...

Jesus Franco is a bit avant garde for most tastes!

I watched that one a couple of weeks back. It's supposed to be the first "Jess Franco" film (though something like the 15th Jesús Franco film) - the film where he really discovered his vision.
He can be terrible, but when he's good he's great, and really like no one else; and even his worst films usually have something in them that is worth seeing.
My favourites are Exorcisme, Virgin in the House of the Living Dead and Female Vampire (though you have to get the right version of that one, and preferably in French, with decent subs (the dubbing is terrible). Actually, there are a few more really good ones as well, but I'd just be doing a list).

I've downloaded that one, though I've not watched it yet. Looks good, though.
This one I've also not seen, just a 4 minute trailer from a Something Weird Video compilation; but it looks like a cross between a Bruce Lee film and The Double Deckers, but more frantic and with weird dubbing:
This is the trailer:
Eeek!

Nor to mine usually, Jonjel, but this one looked so bizarre that I had to give it a go.
I'm never sure how seriously to take Kung Fu type films. Maybe the Baby Cart films (middle aged shogun tracks down his wife's murderers while pulling along his child in a wooden cart) are serious, but the ones on that trailer can't be, - Mad Monkey Kung Fu though looks amazing, and could only be comedy, however much the trailer pretends otherwise.
But I've never been able to take Bruce Lee seriously either, though kids at school were always on how great Enter the Dragon was. It just seems (and seemed) ridiculous to me, the equivalent of Michael Bay today - all action and nothing else - really boring after 10 minutes or so..

Looking forward to trying this. I much prefer older films. I just can't get on with today's output, all macho men or zombies (sometimes can't tell the difference)

There was some talk of Peter Wyngarde here a couple of weeks back. This is a good film he was in, based on the Fritz Leiber novel Conjure Wife.Night of the Eagle(That whole site's worth a look. The downloads can take a long time, but they are (usually) very good quality; and if some of the films there on are really NSFW, well, that needn't bother us, need it? Most are very SFW.)
