My sister in law in Belgium, and a neighbour here both make wonderful pumpkin soup. I have never eaten pumpkin pie so no idea what that is like

I made a pumpkin pie once, but I had to add so many ingredients to give it flavour. Pumpkins don't seem to have a lot of flavour in themselves.

Our lass made a pumpkin pie this year. It was really a tart though - are they always? We had it with cream (and one time custard) and it was good.

Yes Aubs, it really is a tart. We had it with ice cream and I really enjoyed the ice cream.

Loathe pumpkin pie, but it’s very tasty in a mild curried soup or as Arena said mixed in with garlic, herbs, red onion and other winter veggies......which is fab with sausages.
