'Your taxes' - you obviously didn't read my post MY TAXES are keeping you in the manner you would like to be kept in! MY TAXES get me sod all! Enjoy MY TAXES! Oh dear, I'm not getting at you Star. I simply think that if people choose to live elsewhere other than in Britain then they aren't entitled to have the winter fuel allowance. It makes no difference if it is the North Pole or Dubai if you don't live here then it is a benefit that shouldn't be received. BTW I happily pay my own taxes thanks very much.

Yes I get your point, but you chose to leave Britain and live elsewhere. When making that decision you must have thought about the fact that having worked and paid taxes into Britain's coffers by leaving it you would no longer benefit.

Why would I? You pay your taxes, national insurance etc - you have a right to benefits!
You're never going to get the message so just keep enjoying the benefits my taxes will continue to deliver for you.
