Watching Escape To The Country this afternoon set me thinking. They were looking in the New Forest and one of the properties came with plenty of land over two acres in two paddocks with stables, all for £1 million. That would suit me as I would love to open a donkey sanctuary The New Forest would also appeal, my Godmother bought me for Christmas The Children Of The New Forest. I loved that book and reread it goodness knows how many times

I remember sitting in the garden,a few years ago, with my son and his wife, discussing what we would do if we won the lottery. My son said he would have his patio relaid. That was all he wanted, bless him.

Lucky him, he is obviously contented and satisfied with his lot

I'd love to share the wealth between my family and my favourite charities.

You've prompted me to download that. I did not realise it was a historical novel - I always took it to be a Swallows and Amazons type of thing, but set (obviously) in the New Forest.

We cheer if we get more than one number!! Family, charity and if it was a big win IH would buy his football club - it wouldn't cost much I can assure you, I think they are favourite for relegation next season ......and the season doesn't start until August!

You never know, with a bit of investment they could finish up in the big money league

Like Aubrey I have everything I need, I really can't think of anything. I've given up on the national lottery a long time ago, though I do the health lottery occasionally.

I’d like a car that I can get in and out of with ease, then I’d give the rest away to family and charity.
Love the idea of a donkey sanctuary Jimmy, I’d come and help out.

Those French or Italian cars you sometimes see in 70s films, those with the doors that have hinges at the back rather than the front, look a lot easier to get out of than the ones we have now.

My Opel Meriva has doors that open to right angles and the rear doors hinge from the back. The seats are high and so is the roof. Ideal for oldies.
