A traditional chip shop has changed their menu and gone completely vegan – selling ‘fish’ made out of BANANAS.
Sutton and Sons, a traditional Cockney chippy, relaunched their shop last week, and reckon they are the capital’s first vegan chippy.
Owner Danny Sutton, 44, runs three award-winning London chippies – but has entered new territory with his Hackney branch, after the veteran fishmonger decided to go vegan.

Hackney, eh?
344 to Liverpool Street, 48 to Hackney station - when I get my over 60s Oyster I might do that.
Oh! I've just seen that the 76 goes straight there, pretty much..
They still sell all the other chip shop stuff though. And their website is a bugger to navigate. (IE: I've just seen on it that the Hackney shop is 100% vegan. But you have to go and look elsewhere on the site to find out exactly where it is.)

He must be selling, what we call banana fritters. Lovely with a bit of syrup on them.I don't fancy it with chips and peas though.

Is there no end to what some folk will do for a bit of publicity? Scots are mocked for selling deep fried Mars Bars are they not - they don't sell them with chips and peas!
