Is anyone watching the new Unforgotten series on a Sunday evening? I think it's really good. I enjoyed the other series too. I think Sanjeev Baskar and Nicola Walker make a good pairing of detectives. There is no added melodrama to the stories in these series, just hard work and determination to solve the crime. I like the rather low key way they have of working.

She was brilliant in Last Tango as well This current Unforgotten is interesting, as you say a low key plod with a group of very dodgy men. Am I right in thinking that in the last series there appeared to be prime suspects but in the end it was none of them or am I confusing this with Broadchurch I have to add that in this Sanjeev looks like his father, he seems to have aged years

I noticed that Sanjeev is looking old in this series. I didn't watch Broadchurch, but can say that each last episode of Unforgotten has been solved. The title "Unforgotten" annoys me a bit, because there is no such word. Unforgotten means remembered, surely. Anyway,it's a small gripe about a great series. The stories are always complex and it's always difficult to guess who-dun-it until very near to the end.

Our method of TV viewing. We don't watch anything live (cuts out all ads.) watch bits of a new series to get flavour (if rubbish wipe)
This method also eradicates all overlaps.

Problem is that when something significant to watch is on, like the World Cup football, you finish up with so much recorded stuff to watch

I ,also, watch most things on Catch up. I couldn't wait six weeks to watch the new Unforgotten series though. There is more advert time than programme time and it is so frustrating. I am currently watching Ed Balls in Trumpland and it is an eye opener. Firstly,I didn't rate Ed very highly before this as I'd only seen him on Strictly in his idiot mode. Turns out he's a decent guy and he is growing on me. In the series ,we are seeing sides of the US I have never seen before. This programme goes some way to explain why the Americans voted for Trump. Basically they believed his lies. They think he is a great business man despite him having filed for bankruptcy six times.

I think it has something to do with her taking drugs and I think the culprit may be closer to home.

Unforgotten, that was creepy. What an ending There was reference to a film which I missed, anyone catch it? The way Nicola Walker was portrayed suggested a retirement looming, is this her last one? Hope not

The killer was very menacing though a little predictable and it sort of petered out by the end. They say there's no plans just yet for another series but that it is possible.
