Just another day in our household. Nothing special, maybe the girls will call later....maybe. It's cold out there today, a biting breeze.
When I was born on this day (at a very young age) there was no electricity and about 3 feet deep of snow, one of the coldest winters ever on record (1947) I was born in the dark and have been that way ever since.

Morning everybody, been raining heavily all night and windy but calming down now. The Thunderberg girl is to speak to the faithful in Bristol today and schoolchildren from all over have been invited. Good luck with that as it will be chucking it down

Belated Happy Birthday,Ron. Sorry I haven't been online this week. I am having trouble with my eyes. It's been like looking through a mist. A bit better today, but roll on March 17th when I have my left eye done. Then the right eye done three weeks later. Life is so frustrating and difficult when you can't see.I understand what life must have been like for my poor OH during the last few years. I have been told my eye problems are probably stress related,as life has become very difficult.OH is going downhill fast and keeps doing unpredictable things, which he can't remember later. I can't leave him on his own, even for half an hour now. Luckily my good friend has offered to sit with him when I need to go out.It is such a help, not that I will ask her often.

I do feel for you, we have friends that are around 74 mark and he has dementia. Very upsetting for both of them. Also, I have a friend who is 84 and has been going blind for years and got worse last year, anyway he had a phone call from Glan Clwyd to say they had a perfect match from someone who had died. He had the operation in November and I spoke to him last week, his eyesight is great now. He's able to do things and see things he hasn't in years. It's marvelous what they can do these days.

Two months have gone by already. Storm Jorge hasn't hit us as yet, I'm hoping by now it's gone.

There is nothing that anyone can say that will ease your burden, senile dementia is an absolute swine with an inevitable progression.Do you get any respite care? 24/7 caring is so stressful and is not good for the carers health Thinking of you and wishing I could offer something XX
