I went into Waterstones this morning and was surprised to see books by Greta Thundberg everywhere, hard back and paper backs. The girl must be raking in a fortune.

They'll all be in the reduced bin after Christmas I wonder who finances this girl on her many travels I saw her ranting at some major environmental conference in Madrid recently. all the experts there were absent for her rant

Do you think she's wrong?
(The experts didn't need to be there; they already know, and have been saying the same thing for years.)

Morning everybody, there were strong winds earlier but they have died down. At least it's dry. Gas man due again this afternoon, they cannot solve the problem of getting it to fire up first thing
It's always in the middle of winter that the boiler goes. We've had several Christmases without hot water.

I have no idea if she is right or wrong What I do know is that she us a child with issues who is being heavily exploited, and that she is apparently giving other children sleepless nights

That must have been a bugger Many many years ago my aunt who lived in Kentish Town had a gas geyser over a bath. This was a luxury to us who had a tin bath It used to churn out lots of hot water but the fumes in the bathroom made me feel sick, I presume CO2 because of no flue

Morning All: Quite chilly this morning, I'm glad the election is over and we can get back to normal. Off into town to do the rounds then wait for the builder to come and carry on with the internal doors.

Morning everybody, cold wind but dry Gas man changed the hall thermostat yesterday but same problem this morning, the boiler just dies not like waking up in the morning - bit like me! We can get it going by running hot water and then the heating side springs into life but it should work just by winding the thermostat up. So have booked them again for Tuesday morning when we will leave it so they can actually see the problem We have a British gas full maintenance contract, all parts and visits covered so we are getting our moneys worth, at this rate they will soon have replaced everything

Just popping in to let everyone know,my husband had a little stroke last Wednesday.Terrifying at the time, but he has got most of his words back and is not talking gobbledygook any more. That was so frustrating because he thought he was speaking normally, and I couldn't understand him. Doctors have been very good, sent an ambulance, but OH refused to get in it. They have been coming to the house doing tests each day. They are worried because he is on Warfarin. He has to go for a brain scan in the next few days. It never rains but it pours,eh!

Cold here and forecast of rain later. We had thunder in the night which woke us up Alth, they seem pretty efficient at dealing with strokes these days, there's a special stroke unit in our hospital where they reckon if they can start treatment quickly a full recovery is possible. Watching 24 Hours in A&E they seem to inject some special clot busting drug, don't know how that works with Warfarin but they seem to whack it in regardless Good luck, best wishes
