During the EU referendum the 'real' facts were hidden in many cases.
Around us here in Normandy we see many benefits to projects/infrastructure that have the EU logo on them. There are many projects in the UK that have benefited from EU money that people have been told are down to local councils/government where in effect they have been funded by the EU. I also believe that there was EU money available for many things that were not claimed by the UK - projects that could have been up and running by now.
I fear that when we leave the EU a lot of money will simply dry up - that should be a concern for all.
If only the truth had been told before the vote!

The truth was out there. People voted in the dark.

I agree but the darkness was there as well. Many of the areas that voted to leave the EU were the very areas that had and could have benefited from EU money. These areas, I believe, are now beginning to think they made a mistake! The two 'industries' that seem most concerned at the moment are fishing and farming. Farmers are wondering what subsidies will be there for them after Brexit and fihermen are worried about their scope compared to others! Listening to Today on Radio 4 this morning there seems to be concerns over workers rights too - now that should be sorted out ASAP and should be a concern for all of us.

I have been pointing this out these things to anyone wishing to read it, on the internet, for years.
Wales, for instance receives over a million for Welsh studies (ie heritage & language)

I mentioned fish in a previous post and just today heard Liam Fox saying that most Scottish fish is exported to England! What a numpty in that he didn't do any research. Most Scottish fish is sent to Grimsby for processing (80% of all UK fish is processed in Grimsby) and then exported to EU countries. It beggars belief that a government minister isn't aware of this! I despair at times - a lot of the time in fact!
