Is anyone really surprised at this revelation ? The casting couch has been around since acting began Mrs A was propositioned by several famous directors/producers with the promise of large parts. Like most sensible young gals, she told them to fur cough!

Apparently it was more than a proposition, which you can decline.

According to some, Hitchcock was just as bad. Tippi Hedron says he wrestled her a few times and told her if she didn't come across,he would end her career. He did.

You are right of course. The casting couch is still alive and always will be. I wonder how many famous actors and actresses have succumbed to producers and directors to get a part in a film. I remember reading about a famous actress (Can't recall her name just now) who had slept with a producer to get her first film part and then became a world famous actress. When I was nursing I tended to a famous actor who had been in a Bond film and he spilled the beans on a few he called floosies for throwing themselves at producers. I would like to think this case would put an end to it but something tells me it won't.

As far as I am aware he has not been charged with anything to date, just crucified in the court of public opinion by plenty we have never heard of There are also reports that this is rife in the music industry (there are some that I could imagine this to be true), and a former child actor is threatening to expose the paedophiles in the industry

I agree with what you say Bryan, we come back to the fact that their names are leaked out even though no charges have been formally made.

Same here, until proven otherwise in our democratic system of justice everyone is presumed innocent until proved guilty. I do not like people being named unless they are actually charged with a crime of any sort.

A lot of it wasn't criminal, just creepy and bullying, using his power to get what wanted, so there's no reason why it shouldn't be reported. The women involved should not feel they have had an injunction placed on them.

Most of the stories about him do not involve criminal acts. He's said himself that he used his position to get sex, but that it was all consensual. He should have no problem with it being publicised.
