There must be a lot going on behind the scenes that we are not being told about. I have never used Ryanair but have booked to go from Paris Beauvais to Dublin in December. I don't enjoy flying from CDG so looked at this route and it had to be Ryanair. I hope all goes well but I am prepared for it to go wrong IYKWIM! I had booked a flight with them once before from St Gatien (le Havre) to East Midlands. It was a new route and because they didn't get enough passengers they cancelled the route. I only found out because our neighbour is a pilot with Air France and he phoned to let me know! Getting my money back was like pulling teeth - a struggle!

I was left shocked today when I heard this piece about Ryanair from one of their pilots. Gobsmacking! ☹️ htt. Theyp://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/presenters/nick-ferrari/furious-ryanair-pilot-calls-lbc-on-working/ The amount that pilots have to pay for their training seems to be fairly common amongst the airlines. There was a TV documentary, I think about EasyJet and they also pay. They were queueing up for places, largely financed by Mummy and Daddy As to working conditions it doesn't seem to be that stressful as these planes mainly seem to fly themselves by electronic instruments, and it's not very physical I have flown with them, love their planes which I think are Boeing with very comfy seats. We need them to keep flying as their presence helps to keep the cost of flights down as they compete with the likes of EasyJet

After what has happened recently and is still happening, anyone who books their flights with Ryanair must be complete Lunatics. Michael O'Leary has always treated his passengers with contempt and even in the most extreme of cases point blank refuses any refunds. I We have only once travelled with Ryanair a few years back and the writing was on the wall even then. The plane was filthy and we were asked to clean around our seats before leaving the plane. Never again. If you like playing Russian Roulette and don't mind going back home when your flight is cancelled Ryanair might be for you, but not for me.

I would hope you would take that back having read my post! I booked my December flight in June before all the shenanigans started - airport was the deciding factor as I have explained. have already been told to play nicely today - perhaps you could too!

Now that Monarch has collapsed we need Ryanair to keep flying for competition to keep flying "low cost" or we will finish up stuck with expensive BA

NO I certainly don't take anything back. I have empathy with you and people who booked flights and have either lost them or are worried about upcoming holidays but as I said, anyone NOW booking FUTURE flights with Ryanair must be mad. NO way would I book with them knowing that they cannot be relied upon. O'Leary is a law unto himself with no regards for anyone but himself.

It's international, based in Ireland and strangely when flying from UK to Spain we have always had Spanish crews. In fact other than grabbing your money there seems to be very little British about them

"Ryanair boss offers pilots better pay and conditions to stay" www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-41520970If he had looked after his pilots as well as he looks after his race horses there would have been no problems

There is an item in the Daily Mirror today where they interviewed several of Ryanair's pilots. They all say that his grovelling to them is too little and too late.
