I don't want to become a bore about the PKP,but I am delighted with it. After the beef was done,I steamed a kilo of new potatoes, then a large cauliflower. The vegetables were very tasty indeed. I made up five large dinners. Two for us and three for the freezer. There are lots of recipes and how-tos on Youtube if I need inspiration. I am a bit of a deviant when it comes to following recipes. I usually can't help adapting them a bit, maybe a lot. Sometimes it results in amazingly wonderful meals which we can never have again, because I can't remember what I did. Doing a chicken tomorrow and I am confident it will be delicious.
You can boil eggs in the PKP. I boiled six eggs this morning (3 minutes on steam, then let the pressure go down naturally). I love egg and mayonnaise sandwiches, but OH doesn't like them,so I don't bother for myself. Now I have put the eggs in the fridge and can quickly make an egg sandwich anytime.I could also make Kedgeree quickly too.
I am very happy with it clio. I think if you like eating soup, pasta and sauces, curries and meat of all kinds,it will serve you well. I boiled a piece of gammon in it recently,I added brown sugar and mustard to the water and it is delicious.
I have to come clean here,I have never followed a recipe to the letter in my life. I always slightly adapt a recipe to suit us.I may add or subtract ingredients. In order to do this successfully,I first have to learn the basic principles underlying the method of cooking. Of course,it means that we can never have exactly the same meal twice, which is a shame. We may have meals that are similar, but never exactly the same. I feel this is a fault I have that makes me a deviant.
