We only have one and its about 15 years old. OH (or 'Hubby' which Althea likes to taunt me with) sitting scross from me, has started quoting 'amazing prices for an LG 49 inch' de-da, de-da... Have any of you bought a telly recently?
We bought a Pure DAB radio recently. It's excellent and now considering a wireless speaker as well...

Yes we bought a 42 inch one a few months back. It's not a smart tv but I have a smart dvd player which we use for Amazon Netflix and You tube. They have come down a lot in price lately, I guess they are turning them out in the thousands every day.

I have never heard of it - but for 1200 quid it sounds dear. However, as you might guess, I look at such things very infrequently😄

We have a Sharp 46inch in the lounge and used to have a Ferguson 32inch in the bedroom. On Dec 30th ,just gone, our Ferguson died the death.
It was 10 minutes before midnight and I went onto the 'net and bought a Samsung 32inch smart TV as a replacement. It was reduced in Tesco Online's sale. It's a great TV. About a week later I was looking at the Tesco site and our TV was £200 more than we paid for it. I have a little 14inch in the kitchen and it is 13 years old. I don't know how much longer it will last.
If you do think about a new TV,maris,it's worth looking at the specs of various models.Manufacturers make many models to suit different purses.
Always go for the best specs you can afford.

I have a dab radio for the kitchen which I love. However when I left work I was given JL vouchers and bought myself a Sonos speaker, this allows me to listen to all my CDs (downloaded) and any radio station accessed by the internet. The sound quality is fabulous. I can now be found jigging and hip singing whilst cooking to my favourite albums.

All these techy things need a fair bit of research before decision is made...

The TV in the kitchen has all the radio stations,so I use that sometimes. I sometimes listen to Radio 7 from the computer while I'm online.
