Our turn now, JS, after years of triumph. Not sure what you're thinking about the "return" series out here starting later this year, but I'm not confident There's a most excellent article in the Aussie bit of the Speccy this week, by a bloke called Terry Barnes. It's called "Vote Abbott for the Ashes". Goes into the recent history of Eng/Aus cricket and points out that whenever the Lib/National coalition's been in power, we've ruled the world in cricket, but whenever Labor gets a crack at it we're hopeless failures. It checks out: quite uncanny how the fortunes of the national cricket team and the alternative national Governments have fluctuated together. So there you have it; it's all Gillard's and Rudd's fault that we're crap at cricket at the moment. So if, as expected, the Lib/Nats win the election this coming Saturday, this upcoming series might actually be worth watching

;DAustralia have regained the Ashes after sealing a deserved 150-run win over England in Perth to take an impregnable 3-0 lead in the five-match series. ;D
